Who is responsible

ShuGhost operates this website. For questions or privacy requests, use the email address in the Contact section.

Information processed by the website

• Language preference: the selected language is saved in local browser storage so the website can remember it. This setting stays on your device and is not sent to ShuGhost.
• Visitor statistics: the website creates a random identifier for the current browser tab and sends it to the server with visitor heartbeats. The server also temporarily uses the request IP address to prevent duplicate views and abuse.
• Email: if you contact ShuGhost by email, your address, message, and any information you choose to include are used to read and respond to your request.

The website does not create user accounts, accept form submissions, process payments, use advertising trackers, or use cookies for the visitor counter.

Purposes and legal basis

Language storage is used to provide the setting you choose. Visitor data is processed to show anonymous online and total view counts, keep those counts reliable, and protect the service from abuse. Where applicable, this processing is based on ShuGhost's legitimate interest in operating and securing the website. Email information is processed to respond to a request you initiate.

How long information is kept

• The language preference remains in your browser until you clear the website's local storage.
• The random visitor identifier is stored for the browser-tab session. Online status is kept in server memory for about 45 seconds after the last heartbeat.
• The combination used to prevent duplicate views is kept in server memory for up to 30 minutes. Rate-limit information is kept for up to one minute. These temporary records are not written to the visitor statistics file.
• Only the aggregate total number of views is stored persistently. It does not contain visitor identifiers or IP addresses.
• Email correspondence is kept only for as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, maintain necessary records, or meet legal obligations.

Hosting and service providers

The website is hosted by Railway. Railway may process technical request information, such as IP addresses, browser details, and access times, to deliver and secure its hosting service under its own privacy policy.

External links

The website links to services such as Steam, Twitch, Telegram, Discord, Ko-fi, DonationAlerts, and email providers. These services are independent from ShuGhost. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you open their websites. ShuGhost does not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising.

Your privacy rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or an objection to the processing of your personal information. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. Because visitor identifiers and IP addresses are not stored persistently by ShuGhost, it may not be possible to connect anonymous statistics to a specific person.

Children's privacy

The website is not directed to children under 16, and ShuGhost does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent personal information by email, please contact ShuGhost so it can be removed where appropriate.

Security and changes

Reasonable measures are used to protect information, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. This policy may be updated when the website or its data practices change. The current version and its update date will remain available on this page.
